We are going to soar with the eagles on eagles week at LCA.  Pastor Cornwell will be teaching your children Biblical principles and team work.  Your children are to wear their PE uniforms during the week or the He Reigns shirt.  Friday they must be fully dressed in uniform.  There will be no homework the first week of school.  Homework will start the first day after Labor Day.  The penguin mobiles are hanging in the room.  Your children did a good job on them. 

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thy own understanding
 but it all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."  (Prov. 3:5-6)

Who says school is boring!  They have never passed through LCA first grade.  School is not just about drilling and lectures.  We experience, create, and discover learning in this class.  Students experience learning by purchasing things from money they have earned in class.  Sometimes we discover learning through different centers. Creating our own books through theme cycles makes sentence writing fun.  Learning about authors, their methods of writing, and different kinds of literature helps us to be creative as we write stories of our own.  More importantly your children will have a solid Biblical foundation that they can apply to their every day life.  These are just a few things we do.  Learning is fun, exciting, and life-changing in first grade.
