Programs at LCA
Littlestown Christian Academy is not your standard Christian School. We offer a host of programs to meet the needs of your family and we are continually expanding our offerings. We believe that God has directed us to disciple every student to fulfill his or her destiny as citizens of this world and citizens of the Kingdom of God. From 3 years old to seniors in high school, there is a program that can help you as a family educate your children to be prepared for what lies ahead. We have summarized each of our programs below. The Eagle's Nest Preschool is designed to bridge the gap between early childhood learning and elementary education. Children ages 3 - 5 will learn to love school at the Eagle's Nest.
The Eagle's Nest is its own little community in our early childhood center. Our program focuses on the social and developmental needs of our students. There are many times during a week when all the ages are together so they can develop community skills. Most often they are broken up into smaller groups for age appropriate learning.
Half day programs of 2, 3, or 5 days are available for the 3 & 4 year olds. Kindergarten for, 5 year olds, is offered as a half-day morning or a full day as they learn to read, write, and do math. The flagship program at LCA is The Academy. Our 1st through 12th grade programs offer a curriculum grounded in a Biblical worldview and a commitment to academic rigor.
Biblical discipleship is the framework by which we engage our students in learning. God’s Word is the standard by which all truth and knowledge are evaluated and applied to life.
Our curriculum is not defined by the textbooks we use, rather, everything about being and living the student life at LCA is the curriculum. LCA Online exists to provide our local student body with online learning experience while they are at school, but it also allows us to serve homeschool families and students around the world.
Through our partnership with Alpha Omega Online, we can offer over 60 courses from general curriculum for students in grades 3-12 to electives and dual credit colleges courses to high school students.
Home school families can choose to take online courses through LCA Online beginning in 3rd grade be it one class or their entire curriculum.
